Dr. Md Firoz Khan, an environmental chemist, obtained MSc (Air Pollution) from the University of Birmingham, UK and PhD degree from Yokohama National University, Japan in "Comprehensive Study of Chemical Compositions and Source Apportionment of Airborne Particulate Matter". He was awarded the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship for his PhD. He also worked as a “Postdoctoral Researcher” at the University of Tokyo during 2010-2011. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer at the Research Centre for Tropical Climate Change System, Institute of Climate Change, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is interested in atmospheric chemistry, source apportionment and microphysics of air pollutants.
